Rob Kenner
Rob Kenner is one of the most prolific and influential voices in hip hop publishing and reggae culture on a global level. A founding editor of Vibe, Kenner joined the start-up team of Quincy Jones’ groundbreaking hip hop monthly in 1992. During a nineteen-year run at Vibe he edited and wrote cover and feature stories on iconic cultural figures ranging from Tupac Shakur to Barack Obama as well as founding and writing for the acclaimed Boomshots Media.
An experienced media professional with a proven track record of creating cutting-edge digital and print content for a wide variety of publications, whether online, magazine and newspaper writing editing, strategic planning, marketing, promotion, blogging, social media, multimedia production including photo, video, and music. He is a digital radio host and longtime NY DJ.
Kenner’s writing has appeared in Complex, Genius, Mass Appeal, Pigeons & Planes, Ego Trip, Poetry Magazine, The New York Times, and Billboard. He’s also produced and directed documentary shorts on the likes of De La Soul, (‘De La Soul Is Not Dead’), Nas, and Post Malone and worked on the New York Times bestseller Tupac Shakur and contributed to The Vibe History of Hip Hop. He went on to co-author VX: 10 Years of Vibe Photography and produced the book Unbelievable, a biography of The Notorious B.I.G. which led to the motion picture Notorious.
He started a soundsystem in 1981 called Bad Boy Correction (BBC) with other busy DJ’s playing regular gigs at Wetlands, Sticky Mikes, SOB’s and the iconic Ukranian Center. He still plays limited engagements but someone who actually knows him well called him “The Writing GAWD” – “Been in this game for years. It made me an animal.”

Kennedy “Seeborn” Ugbomah
Born in England, grown in Jamaica, raised in “The 90’s” Brooklyn, a highly spirited, proud and energetic Kennedy Ugbomah always loved music and even started playing music when he was 9 years old! Part of one of the first hip-hop duos with a record deal from Brooklyn in 1987, Seeborn & Puma “They Call Me Puma”- a fun tune on Select Records, from the middle of hip hops golden age, rocked parties from Brooklyn to the Bronx. They were the first to get RUN DMC, Kool Moe Dee and The Fearless 4 to perform in Brooklyn at the time.
He was the original voice of the Jamaican character Max “Badman” Davis in the first ever Grand Theft Auto Videogame which later grew to one of the most controversial and biggest selling video games of all time.
One of the consultants and actors in the global iconic motion picture Brooklyn Babylon, and thereafter becoming a regular DJ and producer in the NYC hip hop and reggae scene in the 90’s building Sticky Mikes into a global phenomenon. He was a consultant for Columbia and Profile Records and was later asked to join a Jamaican sound system called Bad Boy Correction (BBC) started by Rob Kenner in the late 1980’s. Now owning his own label, production and distribution company with another childhood friend and DJ, Charlie Brown.

Charlie Brown
Born in New York University Hospital in NYC, Carlton Nalty always loved music. His first love came from his parents victrola (which was a living room stereo entertainment center & bar from the 1960’s) which had various 45 and LP records from John Holt, Ken Boothe, Jimmy Cliff, Third World and of course Bob Marley & The Wailers. “I loved to put the needle on the record and turn the volume up right before it became distorted.”
Playing all genres of music at clubs from and later becoming an avid record collector and regular NY nightclub DJ, playing at Tilt, Buddha Bar, China Club, Nells, SOB’s, Charlie later owned and ran Caviar Studios, a duplex nightclub and cabaret in Brooklyn’s Navy Yard & Steiner Studios area in 1999.
After receiving a bachelor’s degree from John Jay College and later owning a production and recording studio, he was asked to join BBC Sound in 2005. Since then, he has recorded music for sounds all over the world and has maintained a career in consulting, digital marketing, law, and music, now directing Top Of The Hill Music Group Record Label and Distribution Company.
